Rajah Charles Johnson Brooke of Sarawak start to issue 5 Cents Coins in 1900 until 1915. Only 5 issue years (1900H, 1908H, 1911H, 1913H, 1915H) are available. In 1900, the Heaton Mint began striking Sarawak Rajah Charles Brooke 5 Cents Coin in .800 fine silver.
In 1889, responsibility for ordering the coins was transferred to the British North Borneo Company in London and henceforward the coins were impressed with the H mint mark of the Heaton Mint. Silver coin with higher denominations production was done because of the growing prosperity of Sarawak.
The coin obverse show Head of Charles Brooke facing left with inscription around "C. BROOKE RAJAH . SARAWAK". The coin reverse show within rope circle tied at bottom, 5; around, FIVE . Year . CENTS; mint mark, H, below knot.
